thanks, lc.. nothing like a compliment from a 'real" chef to fuel my fantasies first thing in the morning after watching an episode of top chef last night,
flavors were great the younger pit and i both had seconds... tasted like lobster but at the cost of shrimp.. -
I love a nice risotto and that looks great.

Did you cook it with the lid open as risotto needs to be stirred? Sorry if this sounds stupid but if you did, I didn't know you could cook with the lid up. My BGE is fairly neew and I have a lot to learn. -
Dang bill you just keep pumping out the simple but great looking cooks! I'm trying to think of some'en to cook right now and thinking about a play on yours maybe?

yes i cooked with the lid up ,, ,it is on a mini not a large so the fry pan covers most of the grid.. paella is done with lid up as well temp can be controlled a bit with the lower vent door... sometimes sear a steak with dome up other wise it is closed.

This was a very special vacation where we met up with a bunch of extended family that adopted kids we had fostered while living in Taiwan.
Most of the pictures have no relation to the places we were visiting, but here is one that says it all for Susan and me.
