Table coated with spar varnish

The table is varnished and the egg is back in it's nest.
I had originally coated the pine panels with Olympic sealer, but it was quickly obvious that wasn't going to protect the wood. I used Cabot semi-gloss varnish from Lowes.
Here are the before during and after pics. I had a small brisket going for supper last night while the coating was applied.
