Now here's a subject, I've never seen broached...
As I don't intend to have to move my BGE more then once from it's new home,( a new stainless steel table I just built,) I'm wondering if anybody has any advice for making a lifting device from nylon adjustable straps?
One that two people would grab onto.
Kind of a copy of that one I've seen for sale.
Surely, someone has done something simiilar...
These things are heeeeavy! Wouldn't want to drop it...
Thanks!
Ricklessssss
PS I'll try and post photos if I come up with something worthy.

May be worth your while to make a small investment into this "tool". You can use it for a lot of other things later.
Here's a link for you:

Ricklesss, if this is a one-time move, it might be worth seeing if your dealer has something like what Maynard linked to, and would be willing to lend it to you. This is exactly what my dealer uses to load assembled eggs into customers' cars.

If you are talking about a Large egg, then no need for straps. I've taken mine out of my table and replaced it several times by myself. Just take the dome off and remove the firering and fireb0x. Then you can lift the bottom shell out by yourself. Good luck! The Naked Whiz
