Super 77 - minimum temp for application?

I'm considering putting a gasket on my gasket-less egg. When I put my second gasket on a couple of months ago, I saw somewhere an instruction that the Super 77 should be used at some minimum ambient temperature. I can't remember what that number was, or where I read it, and now I can't find anything.

Does anyone know anything about this?

I called 3M they said your material and project should be no lower then 65 degrees.

I highly recommend you use this:

I requires no masking and your gasket will NEVER fall off. It is easy to remove, too.

Agreed, awhile back my dome gasket came partly loose and that's what I used to glue it back on, no trouble as of yet.

I also used it to instal a rutland and no problem so far and it been awhile.

I reattached a portion of gasket that came lose last winter when the temperature was around 10 degrees and never had a problem later on.

I have a question about this product. Do you use this adhesive to attach the gasket or does this product replace the gasket? Thanks very much for your help.

I use it for installing the gasket but I have read of one person that used it in place of a gasket. He applied a layer on the dome and the base and placed something like Saranwrap between and closed the dome until the silicone sealant set up. I don't know how well it turned out, though.
