My neighborhood is having an Octoberfest and I want to make something for it on the Egg. Anyone have any good recommendations for a German recipe (other than brauts, they are already covered) that I could make?

    Pizza, German, Wise One

Inspired by a recipe I saw on a Dietz and Watson commercial. Unfortunately when I went to web site, there was virtually no information so I had to wing it. I've added several inredients they never mentioned but thje result sure was good.

    Ingredients
    1 pizza crust (12 oz)
6 oz Dietz and Watson sandwich spread
    1 1/2 cups sauerkraut (drained)
    1 Tbs caraway seeds
1 kosher dill pickle sliced thinly
    8 slices Muenster cheese
    3 grilled bratwurst
    3 oz mustard

    Procedure
1 Cook the bratwurst on the grill until nice and brown.
2 While the bratwurst is cooking, spread the sandwich spread on the pizza crust
3 Layer the sauerkraut thinly over the entire crust.
4 Sprinkle the carraway seeds over the kraut
5 Spread the dill pickles over the kraut.
6 Spread half of the cheese over the kraut. It does not have to cover it entirely. It may help to break the slices into smaller pieces.
7 Quarter the grilled bratwurst lengthwise. Then cut each strip into fourths.
8 Spread the bratwurst pieces over the pizza.
9 Spread the mustard over the bratwurst and then cover with the remaining cheese.
10 Cook on a pizza stone on an elevated grill or on a platesetter for 20 minutes at 400°F or 15 minutes at 500°F.
11 Let cool for 5 minutes and then slice into squares.
