Chef Arnoldi recently posted his work on replacing his felt gasket with a the high-temp material from Cotronics. Having recently found it necessary to replace my gasket, I find myself the proud owner of 2 50 ft. rolls @ 49.50 ea. plus shipping. I would be willing to distribute to any interested parties @ cost plus shipping as necessary. I will advise as to how much is needed for a Large Egg (top & bottom)and split to the nearest foot. There seemed to be many interested when the Chef first mentioned he was going this route (including me), so e-mail & I'll respond.

GreenEggsHam,[p]My felt is burn to a crisp, it's a replacement felt that only lasted two months. I've got a spare roll of felt that I haven't gotten around to installing yet, but with my recent experience I'm interested in upgrading.[p]But, in reading previous posts about fiberglass gaskets, the recommendation is to only put the gasket on one surface (the upper). Seems the extra thickness and give means you don't need this type of gasket on both surfaces.[p]What do you think about applying to just one surface? What type of cement is used? How long to cure (here in CO our highs are in the 40's and the lows in the 20's).[p]I'll email you to order. I've got a large.[p]Thanks
