Well I'm just happier than a pig in sh!t today :P I finally got the knife I've been wanting. The store manager gave me my $20 off, then she used her employee discount(20% off) :woohoo: I've been buggin her for a year to get this blade, and she finally caved in :silly: It was worth the wait
I also got a cool little pizza rack(with removable handle),that will fit the small(just barely).I don't plan on using it for pizzas, but,ya never know :P
Now,to keep this partially on topic,I'm thawing out some 6-8 count shrimp  These things are huge.Any ideas on these mini lobster tails?I've never done any shrimp this big before
I hope that everyone is having a great weekend

I LOVE that blade! The skrimps look awesome too!!!

What's the length of that knife? Its beautiful, has its own holder and all. what did you give for it, I won't tell anyone? -RP
-
Thanks Hoss, this is the most comfortable knife that I've ever put my hands on :woohoo:
-
Did some shrimp last night 6 count, stuffed with lump crab, asiago and onion mixture (No breading) and turned out great, 350 for 25 minutes. Excellant
Lobster: Split the tails, make a scambi sauce, poor over and sit back and what. The family loved em!!!
Grilled high direct with foil under them. -
Hey Randy,it's an 8" Shun "Ken Onion".The price at the store was $199.She gave me her discount($40),then my $20 discount. So I got it for $139+tax :woohoo: And it came with the little stand
-
Hey Sparky,
That Shun Ken Onion is spectacular, I have the classic Shun 8" and it is perfection. Just watch the finners! Those Shun knives show no mercy. They are sharp enough for surgery. I had to learn how to handle great knives when I first got mine. I was nicking my self with the tips all the time. Great knives won't make a great chef but it sure makes it a lot more fun. Congratulations.
I've never cooked shrimp that big before, I might consider a crab meat and/or scallop stuffing like Little Chef did a couple of weeks ago.
Will be looking forward to see what you do.
Gator

Sorry to dissapoint you Steve Maybe I can redeem myself by getting out the ol potatoe gun :silly: :P That'll prove that I'm still a redneck eh? :P

Doug,
Keep that sharp blade away from all that pretty, shiny wood on the egg nest. Enjoy it my friend. -
