I first came across this story years ago when I was heavy into "digitizing" old comedy LP's from a Maine comedian named Capt. Kendall Morse. His version was called Old Jigger Jones, but in essance the same story and especially the punch line. :laugh:
This version by Utah Phillips was dated a good 20 years earlier than the Capt.'s version.
