The butt is done and is good!

Last update on this butt cook. Turned out great cook time was 16:30 and then in cooler for 2 more hours to rest.
Was falling apart had to use this to get them off the grid

Ask for pork butt or boston butt. And you're right - they are every bit as good as they look!
I hate it when I go to the kitchen for food and all I find are ingredients!

I'm doin the same thing in Oct (annual fall BQQ) - I'm thinking 3 butts for probably 24 people. That sound about right?

CW has a good formula...# of people divided by 2.4 gets the precooked amount of Butt you need...so 24/2.4 is 10 lbs or two smaller butts...
