One Burnt Table !!

Here's a three photos of the 11 year old table we're replacing.

The Large Egg sat up on its feet. The table was never finished and the wood was quite dry.

I had only noticed smoke from the underside of the Egg a couple of months ago.

The new table is going to have a 1" piece of Brazilian slate on Egg feet and I'll have Egg feet under the Egg as well so there will be to spaces for airflow.

We're damned lucky the deck and the house didn't catch fire.

Be careful and check once in a while just to make sure nothing is scorched or burned. You may not notice the smoke. We were lucky.
