My verizon wireless contract is about up, has anyone tried the Cricket or???? I'm paying $60 a month and if I can get good service for less it would help.

Thanks,
Bordello

Unless you can get DSL or Cable you aren't going to get much better.

You're gutless "Mike2", and in my book...ChickenSh**t to boot!
Pity...you were sooo witty as Professor BBQ too!!

    Outstanding...only your 2'nd post...and already...you're the Forum Police!!

I wonder how we ever did it around here these last 8 years...without you?

  • Are you asking about phone service or internet service?

    Look at the subject!! :woohoo:

G3 phone service is not Broadband (EVDO)
  • Look at the subject!!

    I am! :P

The subject line asks about broadband, then the body of the post asks about the Cricket, which is a wireless phone. I'm guessing he is asking about phone service.

The post clearly stats OT Mike2. If you don't like it then don't click the mouse and don't take the time to respond.

It might just be that Bordello needs a bigger audience to get a response.

    And what Chubby Said.

Sometimes it's just fun to get beat up. I have been doing pretty good on my own today.

Hope you and Ann are doing well.

Wireless broadband is not a money maker for the providers. It puts a lot of overhead on their systems compared to the revenue that it brings in. They really offer it more as a service than as a profit item in hopes that you will bring all your business to them. That is why is it hard to find better rates.
Connectivity and actual performance would be a concern if you move away from the major providers. If you happen to have a Blackberry Tethering is a nice option that is much cheaper. It’s a $15 add-on to your BB plan, but you really need a BB that is 3G.
Thanks for posting here. I’m mostly a lurker and have been for years. I much prefer everything in one forum.

    Thanks GG,
You're correct and that's is why I posted on the main forum, I knew I had a better chance of getting some help.

    Thanks,

Thanks, guess I will stay with verizon. I have been pretty happy with them but cricket is about
    $20 less a month.

Glad to see you come on out and post, come on and join in a littler more.

    Regards,

    Thanks Chubby,
Nice to know most Egger's understand why I put O.T. in the subject line and as GG wrote below wanted more people to see it then would have on the other forum.

My Best to you and yours,
    Bordello

I was referring to internet, cricket is offering it along with a free usb modem.

Darn, just looked up cricket and they don't cover my area, I should have done that first. Live and learn.

    Thanks,
    Bordello
