So many many moons ago I subscribed to a kamado newsletter from a company that has changed names and locations many times since.
Anyway, I never unsubscribed, and I got one today which was telling people to coat the inside of their cookers with M63D. You were actually supposed to clean your cooker back to virgin clean and apply this stuff on a periodic basis.
I am still struggling as to why you would want to do this.
Thanks
Jack

What a pain....I guess I now know the company name and location changes so much.
Ditto on the "I am glad I got a BGE" -
NOOOOO!!!! That crap is for Kamado cookers only! It is a coating for cement only and never to be used on ceramic. Kamado cookers are known for excessive failures and falling apart inside, therefore the owner came up with this crap to keep the chunks from falling on your food.
See http://www.kamadofraudforum.org/ -
But But I they told me they were made out of ceramic!
Sarcasm off....figured it had to do with their special portland "ceramic" mix. -
Portland cement and crushed lava rock. Read that forum!
