So, I set as my goal for the weekend to cook on my three-week old egg at least 2 of 3 dinners.
Mission Accomplished! No offense to the throwdown that was also occurring this weekend - I just don't care for squash - otherwise, I would have participated.
Saturday Night - Cedar Planked Ribeye with Aparagus Drizzled with Bleu Cheese:
Completely yummy - although too much longer than I originally anticipated.
Sunday Night - Dinner with the Potentate of Aladdin Shrine. Grilled pizza and meatball calzone...
Pizza as it was coming off the grill:

Meatballs...

I took a little ribbing for taking photos, but the kudos were far worth it! :P

All looks very good. Great job !!!!

Congrats on your success!!! I know all about the ribbing when the camera comes out...nice work.

Looks beautiful! How did it taste? My curse is gorgeous looking pizzas with crap for crust. My friend, Judy, is helping me with this. First attempt with her advice coming this week...
-
A space between the stone and the platesetter is "key" if you ask me.
-
That's a helluva lineup for a newbie. Nice cooks, Red.

I do admit, the crust on the 'zza was lacking something. I goofed a pizza into a calzone last week and that seemed more satisfying.
This time I tried to heat grill to temp indirect with platesetter, rather than getting it sizzling, then putting platesetter and stone on to heat up.
Long story short, I got a ways to go. But nothing got discarded! -
Hey Red-
Great looking cook! Pretty impressive for a newbie :woohoo: . I cooked for 2 dinner parties this weekend, and boy did my friends have fun with me for breaking out the camera. I think my quote was, "you wouldn't be eating this good if I hadn't found this site, so shut up, sit down, and eat while I continue my nerdyness!" :woohoo: :woohoo:

That is Judy's advice as well--and a pizza screen. I will keep you posted....

Red Egghead,
Really nice cooks man! My eggs never looked that fresh when I finally cooked something really good. The picture thing is something that your family and friends will have to get used to. They will be happy to for the food quality.

Heck I've been cookin' on mine for over two years and have yet to attempt pizza, add that to the fact that you are a dawg! Well that right there makes you a fantastic human being. :woohoo:
