Tonight was the fish cooking class and what a class it was: scallops, shrimp, dolphin, sea bass & lobster...here are a few pics
Over 60 people at the class so lots of BGE's had to be fired up
the crowd
Almost 200 shrimp on an XL BGE..the Fire Wire is a new BGE sold product and they are great. They are flexible and as you see are great
New Orleans style shrimp...delicious
Some lobsters cooking
and now ready to eat
the lobsters and all the food was great...thanks
Bobby, Randy and the gang

You need to watch those characters in the back of the room. Especially the ones in the blue eggfest t-shirt, the lime green shirt and the one over behind the computer screen. He looks like he is about to make a fast break out the back.

It was a rough crowd Gene but Bobby held them at bay....
:P :silly: -
I got to attend some of these. Are the eggs used , then sold as demos? Be another great way to add to the family.
-
You would have to call the Mothership and ask that question...
-
Wow looks great. The class i went to last year we got chicken.
-
I bet that took work. I am sure they didn't stay quiet in the back with all that food on the line
-
I think there are always a demo or two to be had as demos. You would need to ask bobby

Kim,
WOW, that's some kind of education. What do you think about the firewire? -
I tried to get into this class but it was full so I signed up for the next seafood class. It looks fantastic. I've tried to cook lobster on a regular grill and it was extremely disappointing.
So does everyone get a bite or two of the demonstrated food at the end of the class (or during)? Obviously they are not going to feed you a whole meal but I was curious of how they handle the tasting. -
Bill,
I bought 3 packs if that tells you anything... :P

Mtn,
You will love the classes. You get to taste the food as they cook it. We usually end up pretty full as they give you several dishes.
You will get a lot of good ideas from the classes & great instruction.

Kim,
So you don't cook in the class? Kind of a food network thing....watch and learn?

Bobby Cresap (Bobby Q) is a trained chef and he teaches the classes and you ask question, watch and learn & eat. :P The classes are very interactive so while you don't cook you learn quit a lot.
Bobby and his crew make everyone feel very comfortable and there all ranges of Eggers there from newbies to "old timers". Get on their mailing list and sign up for some classes and you will see. Just sign up early as they usually fill up fast...

What do you mean? We were there until the last Egg was put to rest and the last chair folded. The classes are always a great time as Bobby and Crew do a grand job. We have a great time visiting with old and new EggFolks. The food samples are also good too.

I know about the table and chair thing. Sorry I missed you. But, I will be back for the mixon class
