Big Green Egg Tops(lids) Falling Out of Bracket

Has anyone had a problem with their top (lid) on their eggs falling out of the steel bracket?[p]Please advise.[p]Virgil Fox

    Virgil Fox,[p]Its going to need to be tightened. Most people are afraid to tighten it enough. Another problem could be someone is forcing closed. If you have the auto-lock band. Never pull on it when locked!! Bad things happen!
    Another problem is miss alignment of the little metal dimple in the band. It must go into the hole on the Egg. There is also a piece of sandpaper tape needed on the band near the hinge - this seems to be 70% of the problem we hear about here. I suggest you call BGE right now - at [p]BGE[p]1-888-929-3447
