Beer Can Chicken w/o beer

As the subject says, I'm not a beer drinker, but I've read enough about beer can chicken to make me want to try it. However, what could I use instead of beer?[p]Thanks,

Non-alcholic beer, fruit juices, chicken stock, even ginger ale might be good. JCA

try what ever marinade you use on the chicken. . .i cut the tops off of any soda can and use them (and having the top cut off completely makes it easier to 'pinch' the can for insertion in smaller roasters. . ..i recently marinaded a chicken in a 50/50 combination of olive oil/lemon juice with dizzy pig jamaican firewalk rub. . .threw the leftover marinade in the can. . .it was excellent. . .you could also try something like a mikes hard lemonade (hey, its malt and lemon juice). . .or any other concotion you can think of (i've though about tequila and lime juice, but haven't tried it yet). . ..[p]enjoy

Out here Jumex and Valle both have various "exotic" juices and nectars in 12 ounce cans. I'm thinking apricot, peach, or mango nectar would be fantastic.[p]Ken
