I just received a case of assorted Dizzy Pig rubs. I was wondering who tried them on shrimp and might have a recommendation.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Pineapple Head is awesome on shrimp

Ya know I was thinking that might be good. Chris didn't have it specifically listed on his poster, but it sure sounded good.

I like the Pineapple Head. But I marinaded the shrimp in Wishbone Robust Italian Dressing first then added the rub.
Swamp venom is good to if your looking for something with more of a kick.

I've used swamp venom for the extra bite.

Morning Chef Tom:
Did some last night...half with Shaking the Tree and half with Pineapple Head. Both very good, but I think the PH were better.Have a GREAT day!

Howdy Tom. I'm still thinking Pineapple Head is for fruit, veggies, and maybe ham. But what do I know really. Turns out folks are having good luck on all kinds of stuff I would not expect. We just got beat by a team using it on their chicken in a competition. It's crazy I tellya. Just when I think I have it figured out, someone will surprise me with yet another new use for it!!
Lemme know what you end up doing. I'd prolly do Tsunami (or even Raging River or Shakin) on the shrimp if it wuz me. Beers, and happy cookin!

I've been using Pineapple Head on shrimp since we brought some home from Waldorf, but I just looked at my BGE log and saw that I'd used both Dizzy Dust with BBQ sauce and Raging River by itself and was undecided about which I preferred. (I'm pretty sure the DD+BBQ was on freshwater shrimp which taste like mud to me unless they're pretty spiced up.)

Just did some with Tsunami Spin....it's great on shrimp and scallops.
