Smoking chip variety pack

Ribhead's question about which wood for burgers got me thinking that I need to experiment with more types of smoking woods regardless of what I'm cooking. I tend to use mesquite and hickory as my all-around staples and currently is all I have at my house. I've used apple and the jack daniel's barrels before and don't care for them as much.
I found a site (northwoodsmailorder.com) that sounded good since they allow you to create your own variety pack (some of the variety packs on other sites are pre-made and usually contain hickory which I have plenty of). I get to choose 4 but I'm having trouble narrowing it down from the 6 I want most (they have 13 varieties, but I've narrowed to 6). Help me choose from the list below!
1. Alder
2. Cherry
3. Maple
4. Sugar Maple
5. Pecan
6. White Oak

Just an FYI, if you are looking for chunks, I've ordered from this site before.

Great variety at this site. All sold in bulk from 1/4 to multiple pounds.

Okay fishless, my decorative guava trees, are guava trees all created equal? These are small decorative trees and have very small thin limbs that need to be prumed/trimmed. So I can put these 1/2 inch and smaller limb pieces in the egg? Every time I see guava I wonder about that.
