We spent some time up at Lake Toxaway prior to the 4th, and here are a couple of pics. Ate lots of pulled pork and did some great chicken as well on the egg you see in the first picture.
Spent a little bit of time down on the lake as well. Took some of the boys tubing and then had a date night with our beautiful brides at the Brown Trout. Took the boat across the lake to make it a little more romantical.

Beautiful pictures. Hope to retire to NC some day. Need to go on a search for a good spot. I prefer the high country: Boone, Blowing Rock, Linville, etc. Ideally I would like to buy land along a river or large creek. Probably need to stop daydreaming and go find it. Any suggestions?

I was in linville a couple of weeks ago. My first time in the area and thought it awesome. I was up on linville ridge at the top of the mountain at an in-laws "adobe." It was breathtaking to say the least. We were on his porch looking directly at Grandfather mountain across the valley.
