I havent cooked butts in awhile and I need the approx cook time for 2, 5.5 lb butts. I have to follow that with 4 slabs of ribs so I'm trying to get my timing straight. I usually cook butts to around 190 at a grid temp of 230.
Thanks
Thanks

1 to 2 hours per pound depending the amount of fat, connective tissue and bone.
You could possibly narrow that down to 1.5 to 2 hours.. -
Perfect, thanks for the quick reply

I read someplace that under 7lbs takes closer to 3hrs. I only have done bone in baby butts 3.5-4lbs and it always took around 3hrs/lb to get to 195.
