Hello,
Just wanted to (re)introduce myself. My name is Ted, and I live in Alaska.
I bought a Medium BGE about 8 or 9 years ago, and was an occasional poster at that time. I still use my MBGE and love it. Two of my most frequent cooks are Elder Ward's pulled pork and Cathy Loup's Tex-Mex Tri-Tip.
This summer we put a new deck on our house, and I told my wife that once we had the room, I wanted to add a Large. She agreed (I don't think she realized how much it would cost, but compare to the price of the deck it wasn't that bad!) and then said I needed to get it in time for our Independence Day party.
I spent the last two weekends making a table for the pair of them, and yesterday picked up the new addition.
I hope to be a more frequent poster, and certainly hope to get lots of new ideas and recipes from you all. When my wife found out how much I spent on the new egg, she said I better cook dinner out there every night until the snow falls, so I'll need them.

Welcome back Ted. Good looking setup. Can't wait to see all the food you cook for the 4th.

Hi Ted,
Welcome back and congrats on the new BGE! The table looks great.
Cheer up, if your cooking dinner until the snow falls you could be out of trouble in just a few short weeks. Now, if you lived down here in southwest Florida you'd really be in hot water!!!
Looking forward to see your posts. I'm new to the egg and have only had my medium BGE since Christmas.

I grew up on the Treasure Coast, and before I moved up here, the farthest north I ever lived was Atlanta.
Now, though, I don't know how I ever lived down there. I was back in Florida for my reunion last year and thought I was going to die. -
Welcome back. Very nice looking table. It has been a long time since I have seen an egg that white on the inside.
Congratulations on your newest addition.

Hahahaha, I grew up in New England and have been down here for 25 years. I know how you feel. This time of year I have the thermostat set at 86º, I tried it at 85º the past couple days and it was too cold.

Great setup. I wish I were in Alaska for the summer, I think that would be really nice.

Welcome back and looks like you are ready to cook about anything! Julie
