So these were so easy and good that I posted the recipe in the Recipe section. Search for "Splatt-oh!-peno peppers" (yea, i had to give it a crazy name).
If it's not there yet, wait later today or tomorrow...i think the recipes have to get reviewed and approved by moderator. Anyways....good stuff, very quick, easy, and inexpensive little appetizer that was a huge hit and always a mystery when it comes to taking that first bite. Some jalapenos are as mild as bell peppers if you de-seed them, but some are still hot as $#@%. Ya never know....so very tasty and surprising little treats here.
If i figure out how to attach a pic here, I will. Stand by for that.

I'm looking forward to it ... we love experimenting with jalapenos ... if you are ever concerned about the heat, gut them then soak in cold water for about 20 minutes ... still great flavor but the longer the soak the less heat there is. Our neighbors shy away from heat, but give them some bacon wrapped jalapenos that have soaked for 30 min and they'll eat the whole plate!
Personally ... I say keep the heat ... but you can't please everyone! -
Not to burst your bubble but we have been calling these ABT's for years...
I do like what you did with them though... -
Wow,did you think 15 minutes was enough?I cook them indirect(with a plaTesetter) at 350 for about an hour.Just curious.Did the bacon get done in that short of a time, sorry, but I'm still a rookie, and trying to learn

First I could find was 2002

ABT's are great. I like them with JD sausage and cream cheese
Good news is you came up with something on your own without searching through the archives Don't stop there as that is how most of the recipes end up here. Great cook, glad they worked out nice and keep experimenting -
Sparky, yea if you do them at 400-ish, the bacon is crispy and the peppers are cooked through. In about 20 mins they start to fall apart and get a little more limp than I like, especially in the pepper rack. If you use a flat pan like the other post, then I don't see any foul. Cook them how you like and whatever works. But yea....15 is plenty! If you consider you can cook a whole burger and steak within 15 mins, you don't have to worry about the meat...it cooks very quickly as there's really less than an ounce in each pepper. Enjoy!
