Howdy All
Just picked up and used my Large BGE for the first time. I used the BGE instead of my BBQ pit trailer and I was impressed how my burgers came out (tasty and juicy). I know, I am starting out with simple session until I get the hang of the temp management. I usually cook BBQ Brisket, Pulled Pork and Ribs on my trailer pit for big parties and such. I was suprised how easy the BGE got lit and was cooking with in 15 min. It usually takes 1 hour to heat up the trailer pit. I think I am going to enjoy this new tool.

Welcome and burgers are a good thing to start with... You probably want to keep the first few cooks at 400'ish or below, just to break in the gasket...
You are going to enjoy this new cooking device!!! -
Welcome and ask questions if you like. There are some great experts here always ready to help.

Some of the best advise I got on the forum was to start cooking 10 minutes after you think the fire is ready. If you rush chicken it can pick up some off flavors.
