I am going to attempt my first pizza on the large bge tonight. I am using parchment paper. Is there a need for flour between pizza and paper? Also will the paper burn if the temp gets too hot? Thanks for all input.

As long as the paper is on the stone it shouldn't burn. You don't need flour on the paper, but corn meal is nice from a traditional point of view. Watch getting the temperature too high until you manage to perfect thin crust which is harder than it looks. I'm still pretty crappy at it :( so I cook my pies at 450.
Good luck

Get one or two of these and you do not have to worry with parchment paper, corn meal or any other stuff for cooking pizzas. These work great.

and no if your parchment isn't cut too big it will not burn and no you would not need flour...it would be corn meal and you don't need that either if using pp -
Just roll your dough out on the parchment paper, you won't need any flour. Even if it appears to stick, it will release as it cooks. The edges of the paper outside of the dough can burn but it won't affect your pizza. -RP

thanks for all the help and input.

Is your dough made with the high gluten flour? I like the bubbles.

Agree 100% with the parchment trick...you can even use the paper over and over for multiple pies.
I used to do the cornmeal deal, what a mess and a PITA.
