We finished our table and assmbled our Egg this evening including calibration of the thermometer. I plan to light it tomorrow evening and play around with temperatures then cook up 2 HUGE Rib Eyes Saturday. I think the 2 family members in the window are anticipating leftovers !!

Don't forger to slide the little green feet under that Egg. 1 in the back (under the hinge) and space the other 2 evenly.
-
Very nice looking table. And don't forget the feet, naked whiz website has lots of pictures of damage to wood done through the paving stone at the bottom of the egg.

Egg book says we don't have to use the feet when we use the paver ..... should we use them anyway ??
-
Hey 520dvx,
Looks good! Welcome to the forum and the world of the BGE.

Nope. The EGG® feet are only for use on a concrete patio directly when you don't use a Nest or a Table.
They are also handy for doing a few baking set ups in the EGG. -
The paver heats up with the egg. It can burn the wood underneath it. See http://www.nakedwhiz.com/eggbase/eggbase.htm

Looks Great! When I fire up the Egg my boys think I am cooking their dinner.

Yup...Simple heat transfer that won't happen with a little air space.

Nice job on the table. You must feel pretty good about yourself making that table, and you should. Enjoy your first cook on your EGg.

Great looking table! What did you finish it with?
-
Table is finished with Sikkens SRD deck stain and sealer ... we paint for a living and this stuff is hands down the finest deck sealer on the market ... not cheap, but excellent quality.
-
Looks like the family members inside the house want you to put some ribs on that egg!! Looks great.

I agree. Use the feet. Better safe than sorry. -
Nice job, hope the rib eyes turn out well. Don't forget the leftover's for the little ones.

I can attest to this from personally charing the shelf using a paver w/o feet

I really like the 3rd level for supplies. Thinking I should go back and add this to my table.
