Went to pick up my new XL Egg today, thought I'd be searing some chicken by this time but...
1. My friend no-showed on me so no one around to help me lower the 200+ lb egg outta my car.
2. I broke one of the screws on the egg nest while tightening it
Oh well, guess my egg will be coming to work with me tomorrow. It's killing me that I can't cook on it!!!
When it rains... well you know.
I'll get you out one day...
Nuts!

That really sucks...I say your buddy not enjoy your food on egg atleast the first few cooks since hes a no show

Cut the box open and take the pieces out 1 at a time. If you were strong enough to break that bolt then you can certainly lift the 70 to 80 pound base which is the heaviest piece.
-
That is what I did with my large, cut the box and took it out piece by piece... Of course, I was hyped up on whatever they gave me after a root canal, but I was determined to get it put together... Hee hee...
-
Huevo...Any chance you could tear open the box, and take the Egg out a piece at a time??? (Please, no hernias or dropped egg parts allowed!) Except for the base, the other components are pretty reasonable to handle. Just a thought!
-
Take it out one piece at a time I was able to do that with an ex large. Another hint sine you will be assembling the egg I went to fastenal (which is our local hardware shop with stainless) and purchased all 316 stainless. The only things I could not get was the little bolts that go in the ring and the springs. I did coat the springs, bolts, and bars with a rust resistant spray before assembling.

Thanks for the tips!

Good idea, whenever I assemble a new toy I always coat the parts that may give problems with anti-seeze.

what part of mississippi?

I'll give it a go. Thanks for the tip!

Xtreme Northwest,bout 10 miles south of Mempho,TN.

Oh man...my heart goes out to you. As BobbyQ stated earlier, just cut the box and take out the egg one piece at a time, that way you don't have to go to the E.R. for a hernia

about 70 miles North of the coast...

Your local fire department has a device called the Jaws of Life. Problem solved..
Do what Bobby said.. -
If I can get an egg out of my vehicle, by myself, and put an egg together hyped up on root canal medicine, he most certainly can!!!
-
Then you would be from Hattisburg.
