Dome Thermometer out/toasted

Last year I noticed that my dome thermometer was not reading correctly. It's about 2 years old. I thought I saw somewhere where these can be calibrated with boiling water..
Local rep said they last 2-3 years, so should I just purchase a new one?
Anyone have any recommendations if so?
TIA

Well, yes. Just put in boiling water and adjust the nut in back for 212 degrees.

Mine is nearing 7 years old and still working fine. Periodic adjustments are all they need.

Thanks Phil!

After you adjust it and it cools down, if it doesn't read close to ambient temp I'd toss it.
