Can anyone help me with selecting a kitchen/bakers scale.
What are the best brands and what features are most important? I am not a everyday baker, just once every other week or so. I am thinking of $100 or so max.
Thanks in advance--Bob

Bob,
I swear by my OXO brand 11 lb capacity with tara weight. It has a pull out display so you can weight large items like big bowls. Cook's Illustrated rated it as the top of the line for home use. It's very accurate and well made. I bought it from Amazon for around $70. I use mine for weighing meat that I buy in bulk and repack in FoodSaver bags. Like your BGE this will be a lifetime investment.

Price was only $49.95 and here's more info for you.

Google "Old Will Knott Scales". Purchased a 7001DX with a lifetime warranty for $34 including shipping. Weighs up to 25 pounds and has numerous features.
