Wings for the kids

Had our usual assortment of extra kids yesterday, so I tried some wings on the Egg. Made the sauce from a recipe off of recipegoldmine.com. It was titled as the original Anchor Bar Buffalo Wings recipe. I made a double batch, and used half as a marinade for a couple of hours.
On the Egg at 325, indirect:
Flipped at 20 minutes. As you can see, hot spots were a bit of a problem:
Pulled after a total of 50 minutes, placed in a bowl, and sauced:
Awaiting the masses, along with a few dogs:
They attack!

Yeah, so much so that they wanted me to make them again today after church. Already had burgers in mind so I promised a wing reprise later this week.

After having hot wings on the Egg for the past year, I don't think I'll ever enjoy wings at a sports bar ever again! I usually do mine at 350 for an hour (turning at 30 minutes, tossing in sauce at 50 minutes). I have varied rubs and sauces but every single one has been better than anything else I've had!Knoxville, TN
