Went to local Pizza Pub and he gave me all the stuff that I'll need to make 2 large. About to try pizza for the first time.
What temp? and anything else I might need to know.
Thanks.

I have had the best results cooking at 400 dome temp for around 30 minutes. Many cook at higher temps but I have not experienced an improvements and some negatives. I also started cooking them on parchment paper on my pizza stone. Makes it easy to transfer and the paper doesn't burn. Good luck, pizza is fantastic on the egg!

I think just about everyone has a little different way of cooking them. :woohoo: I usually cook my pies between 500 and 600 degrees for about 12-15 minutes. They turn out pretty well.

My only advice would be to determine how you like your dough (thin or thick), qty of sauce and cheese preferred and then let it rip.
If you are not sure how to stretch the dough properly, check out some clips on You Tube.
I enjoy most stlyes of pizza (except Domino's) but I'm originally from NY so I prefer a very thin crust cooked at high heat and I like using fresh mozzarella, uncooked sauce, lots of basil, olive oil and a grating of grana padano cheese at the end.
This is a great website for pics, ideas etc based on how some of the best pizza places in the US and Italy do it.

500 degrees - 12-15 minutes.
place you zah on parchment paper and then on your stone...
I'm sold on the parchment paper - I've tried corn meal on top of the stone, but I find it burns when the stone is too hot.
After that, it will taste as good as the ingredients you use.

Mike,
Thanks for your help. Mississauga? Cool. You wouldn't be an Argo fan would you? -
All:
Thanks for all the help.
About to get started.
Wish me luck.
Pics to follow. -
I've always been more of a hockey fan than a football fan.
I always hoped to get some free admissions - having the same name as that great Argo linebacker, but that never happended...Ha! Ha!
