Coolest Wife Ever

I've been researching BGE's for a couple years, saving money, and lurking on this forum...learning alot. I just returned from a work trip, and my wife had a card and a little box waiting for me when I got home. Inside the box was a hard-boiled egg, painted green, with the word "BIG" written on it. She went out a got me the egg (large) that I've been coveting for two years! To be delivered end of March. She's gotta be the coolest wife ever.

Kudo's for your wife and the LBGE. Make sure you look at accessories like the plate setter, ci grid, and raised grid. I'm sure you already know that you are only limited by your imagination. Lots of great advice here as well as as a wicked sense of humor.

I can't believe you have waited two years, you have more patience than me. Its nice to know there other cool wives, other than mine. I have had a LBGE for a year now and two weeks ago i found a SBGE on Craiglist for $150, so i hurried to the guys house. I called my wife on the way home and she said "you better not come home without another egg"! I knew at that point, that i had married the right woman 10 years ago. Welcome to the cult!!!!

Actually, maybe your wife has been lurking here, too, and knows how much good food you'll be cooking soon. My wife now refuses to eat any ribs but those I make on the Egg. Or will say "It was worth waiting for the chicken. That was about perfect." Luckily I'm still lousy with pizza, or I'd have to make all of those too.

Well, she probably does love you, but she will only love you more once she gets some of that Egg food. Do a couple of racks of ribs for the first cook, and it will be a GREAT night!
