We are a very proud family with Michael jr arriving home from Camp McCauley having passed selection and being accepted into Special Forces Training :woohoo: We have him home for 10 days so the BGE will deffinitely be working over time. His first nights dinner was one of his favorites..grilled swordfish, lemon parsley butter and roasted accorn squash..I added the calamari appetizer, he's like his mom and dad loves everything it was sweet and a big hit..here goes

Our best to him in service.
If he gets stationed at Fort Hood Texas drop me a note. We will be sure he has a friend here..Salado TX & 30A FL: Egg Family: 3 Large and a very well used Mini, added a Mini Max when they came out (I'm good for now). Plus a couple Pit Boss Pellet Smokers. -
Success in SFAS is something to be very proud of. I wish him well in the training phase and please give him my gratitude for his selfless service to this nation.
My congratulations to him and to his proud parents. -
Feed him well, he's got a lot of work ahead of him. Let him know how thankful we are for his service. -RP

Congratulations.
Most folks don't know that much about Special Forces so here's a link to explain a little of what makes them so "Special."

I read over the information and quickly realized that a Special Forces member is much more than what the Army's site says. If a member decides to make it a career he will face more and more training to make him a force to recon with in just about any threatening situation in the world.
I wasn't one but I was in the same Army as them. I quickly came to recognize them as elite. You want a friend, they are the best friend you could have. You don't want them as your enemy.
You have a right to be proud of him.

Hey Leroy....you should be proud as well, your family...he's a Sargent
-
I am. But I'm sure he's had a time and will continue to have a time with being called "Private Sargent" "Corporal Sargent" Sargeant Sargent" "Lt. Sargent" "Capt'n Sargent" "Colonel Sargent" and eventually "General Sargent."
