Input on Egg Hitch Hauler

Guys,
I'm striving to come up with a hitch Egg Hauler for my Pick-up. I'm in sales and my customers love for me to bring my Egg to their offices and cook lunch for them. Have any of you taken on this project? If so what were some do's and don'ts you could advise on. I envision this as a pull up and start cooking while still attached to the truck. The ceramics of the egg minus the guts is what is concerning me for travel with:
bumps, shifting, bouncing and overall vibrations. I don't want a cracked egg on my hands. Thanks for the input guys and gals. Backwaters

I have no experience with a hitch hauler, but what would be the problem with an egg table, designed with lift handles and loading it in the bed of your truck or perhaps steps up to the tailgate and cooking in the bed?
I have seen the hitch hauler's for luggage and stuff, but it always seemed like a poor choice to me...

I use a swing out cargo carrier for one of my cookers which does weight about twice what the large Egg does and it works out great. I haven't had my Egg on it but would think it would work fine.

I am a welding fabricator. Now you are getting me thinking. If a hitch mount hauler was made especially for the egg you could make sure that it was heavy duty enough for the egg. You would have to also make sure that it secured the egg well enough so you wouldn't have it moving around in transit. I'm going to think about this one for a little bit.

You may be on to something, there, HD77....
Can't wait to see what you come up with! -
I talked with a rep for BGE last week. He said they have one and are getting ready to start selling them. He says it hooks up your hitch and will swing out.

Awe, Harleydog, a day late and a dollar short !!!

I wouldn't invest too much on this project because once your customers taste your cookin' you're not going to have much need for the contraption anymore!!!

heres the egg transporter i built years ago, makes it pretty easy for 2 to carry it around. i dont have a need to put it on the hitch of the truck, but i did build a barrel mount off the reciever on the wheeler that the egg transporter fits nicely in.
fukahwee maineyou can lead a fish to water but you can not make him drink it -
Suggest you read this thread as it may help. Old Dave does carry eggs but it's not shown in this thread but his other cookers are.
