Folks,
A short tale ...
I had all this leftover pressure treated lumber in the garage really not doing anything.
Decided to take a day and slap together a table.
Now I know it's not as fancy as some of the fine egg furniture that I've seen on these pages, but it gave me more room than those two little nest tables.
Now to the short story ...
My dear, kind, tolerant, happy wife (Pam) came home after a day at work. She has always hated the "mess" that I made out back when egging around, but she always loved the food. I greeted her with the usual, "Look what I did for you!"
"Wow! That's really nice. And look at all the room you have now"
Beaming proudly, I walked with her as she got closer to the day's project. "That's all the wood we had stuck in the garage," I interjected.
She drew closer still and remarked, "Wow! Two holes! Is that a harbinger?"
You never know!
Later,
Peter

Proper planning prevents poor performance...looks like you are planning properly to me... :silly:

Kim,
Appreciate the vote of confidence!
Thanks,
Peter -
Extra space means more wood, which means you took more clutter out of the garage, which means there's is more space and organization in the garage which was really your intention from the beginning.
If the table was half the size, imagine how much wood would have remained in the garage. -
Know something?
I should have thought about the reduced clutter in the garage. As that's another "complaint" often heard, it would have worked even better!
Later,
Peter -
I'm going to tell Sundown what you have done and strongly suggest he teach you the secret handshake in Ocala.

I log on this evening and get a little lagniappe. I learn a new word.
Nice table
Nice post
BTW - For peeps that don't know, lagniappe means a little something extra. Like ordering a dozen oysters and getting 13-14  -
Omba,
Two holes, If you build it they will come
Very nice table
JimI'm only hungry when I'm awake!
