Got some \"Good News\", and some \"Bad News\"!

Well...
The "Bad News" first:
With the "Market" continuing down big, I had to grip hard and write my yearly check out for Homeowners Insurance today!!
Grrrrr!!!
(which as it turns out... is the most expensive in the country)
But, there is "Good News"!!
I lugged home a little "Cow" today,( and at a tidy price I might add)!!
Gotta love local grocers, and Butchers who look out for you!!
Gonna do some carvin' myself, and split this up with my Neighbor!!
So the moral of this story is:
Today...It's good,(and a little bad)...to be the Chubbster!

I spent most of my money on good bourbon, and bad women...the rest, I just wasted!!

Chubbster, 13 plus pounds of Prime Ribeye at 7.99 per lbs. You are getting the first, uncooked-in-the-raw;
Why? Because you can damn near eat that sucker raw!

prime for only $7.99 a pound??? Sure that doesn't constitute cattle rustling these days in Texas?Re-gasketing America one yard at a time.
-
But it's not far off... price wise!!
And thankfully, within the 2009 (even more restrictive) budget!
lol!

If you have any of that stimulus $$$ left, here is a store about 15 minutes from the house that is very interesting. Got some Porcini mushroom EVOO and some Raspberry Balsamic. I will act as your taste a vision if need be. LOL

Rustling somewhere...The HEB by me has been running this sale for prime t-bones, strips and ribeyes every 2 or 3 weeks since the new year. Not all stores, just one cut every couple of weeks. I asked the butcher and he said there is one man in San Antonio that makes the call. I may need to make the call and thank him.LBGE Katy (Houston) TX

Well Chubby,
How could ya see any bad news with a pice of BEEF like that? It's only money and ya can't take it with ya! Insurance ya can't live with it or without.
You better be looking over your shoulder for the law man, at that price per LB there had to be be a little rustling involved.
Enjoy the end result, I like mine still mooing :woohoo:
Thanks for the post the other day.
