Sundown

Beware you ol' coot!
I may have just made one of the best batches of "red" I've ever made. I tries a twist on Sundown's Manly Chili and Sundown's Real Man's Chili.
It's freekin' awesome even if I say so myself.
Now if I can remember just what spices I put in it.

hell, he can't make brownies either!!!. .. i'm not sure what he's good for except a little comic relief!! :woohoo:

I love chili. Please post recipe when the "coast is clear"Joe - I'm a reformed gasser-holic aka 4Runner Columbia, SC Wonderful BGE Resource Site: http://www.nakedwhiz.com/ceramicfaq.htm and http://www.nibblemethis.com/ and http://playingwithfireandsmoke.blogspot.com/2006/02/recipes.html
What am I drinking now? Woodford....neat -
I don't know how one would judge between the two - both completely different with ingredients, texture and taste.
Would like to know more about the improvements though - the last batch I did was dang good.

He can cook chili but his can't hold a candle to mine and I'm sure his brownies don't even come close to what The Spawn makes!
Gotta love him, though, for his bread making skills. -
What I'll do is kick his grape butt in Ocala and add the adjusted recipe to the Ocala cookbook. Part of the change includes bacon fat though!
-
If it works right in Ocala then I'll add it to the Ocala cookbook.
-
looking forward to trying them both. Do you still need a 5 qt. DO in Ocala?
-
That would be great. Thanks. We've a 9 qt coming too. We should be set. Now it's all just the logistics of getting everything together.
-
I'll be there early. getting in Thursday
-
Instead of a long list of what he can't cook, a short of what he can is in order. :woohoo: :woohoo:
I think he does a decent job of cooking bread.
He can't play golf either.
Mike -
Well ...
If you give me the recipe, I just might teach you the handshake!
Or was that the other way around?
Looking forward to seeing you again,
Peter -
You better get 2 12 qts. there should be a lot of people wanting to taste.
Kent -
Got the same problem - cooked the best chili I've ever cooked on the egg. Winged it, and, I don't remember all the stuff I put it. Didn't use a recipe, just did it.

"add the adjusted recipe to the Ocala cookbook" That's a big step.
and, nothing wrong with bacon fat.

I know, it's taken a long time in therapy to get to this point. Maybe my next round of therapy will do something about this Egg thing!
-
Good I'm just getting started with that game and I need someone that isn't too good to torture. Is there a game at the Atlanta fest in October?
-
I think it's the other way around. I think. Maybe Egret can remember the handshake his short term memory is still pretty good.
-
Unfortunately, Mother did teach me to write some things down. I made that remark trying to goof on John. The ingredients for his chili makes a long list and somewhere in it is the kitchen sink. Hehehehehe
-
There was a couple years ago. The clowns from Oklahoma wanted to beat Egret, Joan and I. Joan is good. The grape one, well he watched a lot. :woohoo: :woohoo:
Mike -
Now that's going too far with therapy. One step at a time, slow, easy.

I hope you bring your very best version along, you sorry thing! Go ahead and resort to these personal attacks! When the day is done you'll be wishin' you'd stayed in Mass. watchin' the sun go down, Sundown!! :woohoo: :woohoo: I'm sending you home with your tail between your legs! You're nothing but a shrimp who thinks he's a lobster!! :woohoo: :woohoo:
-
I'm surprised at you, Max......saying such a thing about your best good friend! That batch of brownies at Eggtoberfest was just a setup so the Spawn would let her guard down......not that it is going to help her any!! :woohoo: :woohoo:
-
That is too funny, Sunburned....er, I mean Sunset.....er, I mean Sundown! I have complete control over what goes into the Ocala cookbook since I put it together every year! :woohoo:
-
See my comments above, big boy!!
-
Bring everything you have, Pat! That douche-bag is going to need all the help he can get!! :woohoo: :woohoo:
-
You put them on my table "saying they were mine". What is wrong with you rib note stealer. :woohoo:
Mike -
OK, Mikey! You're on notice!! :woohoo:
-
Good Lord, Mikey! Your advanced age has your mind so confused! What rib notes are you speaking of?? :woohoo: :woohoo:

Egret,
I'm not sure but I think the handle may come from Gordie Lightfoots song of the same name. The song is a warning to a banjo picker by the name of Larry Good who is reported to have been fooling around with Gordie's wife. Chili recipes and wives are not that different
