Texas Eggers: Prime T-Bone for $6.99

I just got back from my neighborhood H-E-B store. They have a weekend special on USDA Prime T-Bone steaks for $6.99 per pound. The packaged ones were not thick enough for me, so I had some cut to order.
They are selling USDA Choice T-Bones for $12.99 per pound if you would prefer.
Happy shopping.

Must be a local (Austin) sale. Had my wife check at our H.E.B. and they were not on sale here ($10.99/lb). :(

The price of beef is down ATM. The Tbones in my counter are $5.99 lb and ribeyes $6.99. Utility grade ribeyes this week we're $3.85 wholesale. That's what restaurants mostly use. No need to stock up. The price should drop some more.

Phil,
Is $5.99 the price for USDA Prime? Or for a lesser grade? Do you expect the price of all grades of beef to decline?
We just ate two of our t-bones and they were GREAT! -
I knew that deal was probably something I should have investigated earlier--they were clean out when I went there this afternoon to stock up. Oh well, I did get some Natural ribeyes (their version of organic...) for about $7.48/lb so I really don't feel too bad.
