What would you say is the max to keep them coolered. Double foiled and toweled in a warm cooler. Thanks

3-4 hrs without having to rewarm after pulling.

How many butts and how much empty space in the cooler?
I have had 2 butts in a cooler tightly packed with towels and newspapers and after 6 hours they were still too hot to handle. -
I agree with you Rod. It totally depends on the temperature of the meat. I do some catering and I have had butts in a cooler for 6 to 7 hours with little cool down.

I've got two in and there's not much excess room.

I done one last week and the guy I gave it to said it was still hot when he got it 6 hours later. I used a small lunch cooler, double foil, and a heavy bath towel.
