How many do you figure for a butt that size? I've got two ready to come off and I'm thinking about only taking one to the party and keeping one for us at home. I think 16 to 20 are coming. Thanks, Brett, GO CARDS

If it's the main course, you'll need both butts. If, like most super bowl parties, it's one of many on the grazing line....save the second for all the amazing things you can do with pulled pork. Kinda like Forrest Gump's shrimp routine...."pulled pork tacos, pulled pork enchiladas, soup, nachos, etc....

I have the answer to this question on the Ceramic FAQ on my website. Let's see if i can do it from memory:
8 pound butt raw = 4.8 pounds of cooked meat.
4.8 pounds of meat is about 76 ounces of meat.
76 ounces is about 19 4-oz sandwiches.
So, I'd cook both...
Good luck!The Naked Whiz -
As far as meaty food products go I think we're the headliner. I'll take both, Thanks

Thank you for the breakdown. I'm takin' both. By the way I visit you site quite often. Have a good Super Bowl Sunday. Brett
