Hi Eggheads,
I can't remember how long ago it was since someone in the forum pointed me to buying this bread machine but it has been a wise investment much like the egg. In fact I am cooking raisin bread on it tonight. Tomorrow I plan to use the Large BGE to cook some spatchcock chicken unless my wife goes into labor... Mon. is the scheduled C-section day and my In-Laws made it safely from California. So all is well

Glad you like the machine. I really like mine. Lately I have been making the no knead bread a lot, tho, so not using the machine as much. Which raisin bread recipe are you using?
Congrats on the upcoming new egger! -
The one out of the manufacturers book the larger of the two raisin bread recipes I have 19 minutes till the bread is ready. Shoulda have put it in sooner One of those last minute decisions I can smell the aroma from my bedroom

It's a great machine but a bit pricey for me. I ended up with the CUISINART - link because it's half the price, uses convection and has 16 settings including Low Carb, Gluten-Free, and Artisan Dough. It's also very sleek looking. Check out the reviews, I think it's a price-worthy alternative, though the Zoji gets a lot of good press.
