Yep. Was ridding home from my parents. We fryed cat, bream and croppie and the moon was just comming up as we left. Last night was hazy but crystil clear tonight. Just amazing!!
-
Last night was the Wolf moon, the years biggest and best, tonight should be pretty close. We had 12" of snow yesterday, with cloudy skies last night and tonight, so we missed both nights.

Yes it is beautiful. My brother and his family used to live in the middle of nowhere and we all used to go layout and stargaze because without the city lights you could see so many more stars. Good memories.

AZRP - You are reading my mind - This is it over Lake Pontchartrain about 5 minutes ago - Stunning to say the least!

BTW that's crappie, I was reared in the south.

JL;
I just did a search no crappie cooks have been posted. I've caught some only fried them once usually toss them back. Excellent flavor if you can get passed the bones. Never had a bream. Dang I betcha I've tossed more bream back then any other fish. -
Good one  But we make do......with trout and a few reds at this time...

Nice photo. Where was it taken Transcontinental? David DR? I think I see the causeway, so it might be Clearview.
-
Thanks Mike - Between Transcontinental and Clearview...and that is the causeway

Thats just wrong!! Croppie are great!! Just like a perch but a little more mellow. We catch'em out of the river up to 2 lbs with lots of meat. Shucking bream and croppie is an art. Some folks fellet them but we scale them. My wife was a yankie (North Ark)lol and couldn't shuck themm when we first married. Now she loves them. Just got to pull off the fins and eat the tail. Slide your finger down the back bone and the meat just rolls off!

Very strange! There is an old song fron Sting of the Police called "Moon over Bourbin Street" I was singing on way how looking at the moon. Told wife I bet its beutiful in New Orleans tonight. Havn't been back in 18 years but miss it terrably. Only "city' I ever liked. Just have to spend time there to understand.

YES!! It is beautiful (God’s yard light is bright tonight), and it’s only -9 F. as we speak .
With that said, I’m heading out on the shoes to enjoy the evening!
Later…. -
The moon is out but my sky is as dark as can be. Not a very good shot but I was in a hurry.
Cheers,
Bordello

I wish I had a longer lens!

My folks have one of those light tubes in their house. It takes the sun and moon light and uses it to brighten or light the rooms. their house was fully lit last night and the nights before. just like all the lights were on. it only needs a tiny bit of light to work and just reflects it all around.
