Two eggs, one table

Just bought a large to accommodate my medium. Both are in their own egg table (58") but I'd like to get rid of the two tables and just have one bigger table to hold both. Anybody ever tried this? Thanks!

yup.

I had 2 larges in one table. It had casters on all 4 ends. If you can keep them in a permanent spot, it should be great. I hard a hard time moving mine around when I wanted to cook on them. Still working on the back cooking area and I left them in the garage. They were HEAVY to move around

Very nice!! How long did you make the table? Looks like you left ample space between the two. I was thinking 6' long top with a 26" gap between the eggs.
-
Yep - XL and Small
-
I'm pretty sure the top is 84" from end to end.
I'm rebuilding in the spring - I want more room. My advice would make it as big as you have room for, within reason of course. -
And I thought the large was big compared to my medium....Looks like the XL is getting ready to consume the small. That's a serious grillin' machine
-
Actually the XL is more of a smokin machine
My Small and Mini are Mean Green Grillin Machines :woohoo:
The table was originally built for just the XL. Installed the Small 6 months later, losing some work area but I have a side table that provides plenty work room.
Good luck with planning/building your new table. -
That's handsome, Fidel.

Fidel,
Nice looking table, good finish on the wood. What kind of wood did you use?

I originally only had a small in the table but when I get my other large I figured the Mrs. would kill me if I took up more room on the patio with a third table.
Everyday is Saturday and tomorrow is always Sunday. -
Hey Cobrastrike!
If you are looking for a "good home" for your medium egg sized table, I'd be glad to help you out and take it off yoru hands!!!!

...still wanting to build one, but just have never found the right "plans". -
Frank!
Those are gorgeous looking tables. Did you just dream them up or did you find some plans for them somewhere??? I can build almost anything, but unfortunately, I do not possess the gene for creating them up on my own. I got "shorted" when it came to that particular genetic code ;-)

Simple yellow pine. A few coats of minwax helmsman urethane gloss.
vidalia1 was here yesterday and he can testify that it does not look as good these days. -
My Lg Sm table, I love it.
