Took some Johnsonville Maple Sausage links and slow cooked until done. Indirect at 250. So skinny, hard to get a correct internal temp. I used rub, I won't next time.
I pulled the casing off some, not really a difference.
Bumped up the egg to 400 dome.
Used Pillsbury Flaky cinnamon rolls. Some with a thrid of a roll. I suggest 1/2 a roll.
Cooling.
And Iced.
I will let the Gem of the forum and the Filly to now if it is kid friendly.
But what child doesn't like to play in icing. :woohoo:

so...iceing and sausage??? how did it taste? Looks kid friendly enough. Keep it in your head. I'll forget.

Sweet. I usually use maple syrup with my sausage and pancakes.
No rub on the mini fatties.

Morning Mike:
Those do look tasty! I agree the rub probably wasn't needed, but maybe Raging River would work (not sure what you used).Have a GREAT day!

It was Raging River but soaked into the roll. Just playing around with something different.

Looks good. We call them little guys skinnies. They're good wrapped in bacon also.
-
I think they look great Mike! Very kid friendly. I'm sure they'd have fun making them, espeically the icing part.
-
I did that once. Only I wrapped them in mini pancakes.

Bout how long till the sausage was done and for when you added the rolls?
Both of the kids love sausage but only in links.....kids are strange. I could remove the casing in front of them and make patties and they would not eat it :( -
I think when I did mine it was only like 30-45 minutes. I saw on another forum where the guy unrolled a fatty and then put a pancake in ti and rolled it back up. I think you would like that instead.
