My Butt is really cold

Dang, never cooked a butt in such cold weather. It's 17 degreees here on Long Island. It took me 20 minutes to blow dry the egg just so I could open the sucker, and then it's been over 3 hours just getting the thing up to 250 degrees! Good thing I'm not trying to serve any food until Saturday!

Seriously, has anyone done a low and slow in such cold weather and did it take so long just to get the thing going?
