Japanese Wagyu Kobe Beef at Costco!

I want to know which Egger is going to be the first to cook this:
Costco here lists a 15-lb (avg) boneless Japanese Wagyu Beef Ribeye Roast for a mere $2299. Apparently this is the real thing from Japan, raised on beer, strict diet, sake massages and all.
That's just over $153 a pound.
Of course, Executive Members do get a 2% rebate!
I see we have $120 Dom, $400 Italian Piedmont white truffles (2 oz) and $550 Rothschild Pauillac on the same page.
I'd go for it, but I blew my Christmas budget on the new Burger King Whopper cologne...at $4.99 a bottle it adds up!

Damn that marbling looks pretty.
$153 a lb, huh? Maybe in we all chip in, we can split one and all get a bite :pinch: :silly:Knoxville, TN

Oh, I'd get 2, except that I've sent my special Wagyu platinum steak knives out for sharpening :silly:

Not much of a steak fan but I wonder if it makes good burgers???? I"ll have to look for it at my Costco.

Hey... who needs to buy the Burger King perfume? I mix my own with a little hickory smoke and a splash of Chanel!

I like the statement about "one week lead time" I guess that will stop all the people lining up the day before the sell date asking for a discount (like me)

Rancher's Gourmet, here in Kansas City sells the fillets for $80/lb. Ocassionaly, I cook 6 oz. fillets. They are as good as advertised.
I smoked a prime brisket from the same store. Don't remember the price but it was worth it. -
Looks good!
I myself am waiting on some Kobe Pork -
Sorry, but my taste buds peak out at around $20 per pound.
