I'm lookin for the recipe that they use for Big Bob Gibsons chicken halves. Does anybody know it???


  • I've made it and it's pretty good, unique. They also sell it in bottles at many bbq shops. Here it is:

    Big Bob Gibson's Hickory-Smoked Chicken

    1 cup mayonnaise
    1 cup apple cider vinegar
    1 tablespoon lemon juice
    1 1/2 tablespoons cracked black pepper
    1/2 teaspoon kosher salt, finely ground
    1/4 teaspoon cayenne

    Thats there white sauce recipe. I know how to make that. I need to know how they cook there chicken BEFORE they add the sauce.
  • They just smoke it over wood coals. After done, the chicken is baptized in white sauce. As for what rub or temp, I am unsure.
