I think it was mr.toad that sent this link to me about a year ago.I made a few of these and it really helps to get better pictures.I have used them on our nikon S550,D40x,P80 and D90 and it works good on all of them. Good luck making those GREAT pictures.

My wife is the picture taker in the family. That looks like a great idea, but is probably to simple and cheap for to use. I will make her one and see.

Doesn't yours have built in stabilization?

I own the A200, which is a step down from yours, and it has image stabilization.

Yes it does and it does a good job, but I also have the 75mm to 300mm zoom lens which works well at the lower settings and pretty good at the high end so long as the wind isn't working on me. At the 300mm setting it could use some assistance. I didn't want to lug around a tripod, therefore the string thingee.

Nice camera, isn't it? I'm going to give it a real workout on the cruise next July.

I made one of those then one day something happened and I tripped on the string and broke my camera. A limited quantity of adult beverage was involved. Now I have a $15 tripod from Best Buy.
