Man is it cold out! 3° and snowing.
No egging today, but it ain't got nothing to do with the weather. Carolyn has a Ziti ready for the oven...Hmmm. I wonder if she'd let me do it on the egg?
How's pyrex indirect on the egg? I can just imagine the trouble I would be in if it busted and then there is the mess of Ziti all in my egg

It was close to 50 here yesterday. Now I can see my breath outside. Supposed to be only single digits tonight. I don't mind the cold, just don't like the major temp swings.
-
Same here, it got up to 56° yesterday and the high today is projected to be 8°
-
Pyrex works in the egg if you are real careful.
It's not designed to go much above 450.
I would transfer it to a metal pan, so you don't suffer "Bubba Tim" syndrome. -
 Bubba's episode is just what I was thinking about when wondering about putting her pyrex in the egg.
-
Cory,
It's 3* here too but centigrade. Rain and drizzle.Never too cold to egg though.

Cory,
I was cookin' at -3° last night, and I'm doing a pastramied turkey breast and some pork shanks later today.....oh yeah, it's -12 actual.Happy Trails~thirdeye~Barbecue is not rocket surgery -
Beli it is a veritable heat now though, we have doubled in temp. to 6°
-
I hear ya, I think it's supposed to be chilly all week from what I can tell. Looks like more snow through tuesday. Where are you at in Wyoming? We should hook up and go exercize some of those trout next spring :woohoo:
-
Not so cold in Texas. Doing some smoked salmon.
-
Thats alright, we get our payback in the summer
-
No doubt! I've had a coke explode in my car from the heat. As far as today goes, it's supposed to be 31 tomorrow, so things change fast around here.

my Tucker is on the right. his hair is just a moppy as your Tucker's is....

What??? Invite a Greenie to Wyoming....to fish?? I might loose some of my access rights.
Seriously I'm in Casper, and with this cold spell I'm hoping to check out some hard water spots before the new year. We were just laughing the other day about our vision skills when it comes to tying on a #24 midge, not the knot...finding the hole.

Chili Verde well be good in the snow I well not get any here we well get a lot of rain and cold.
My Best, -
Cory, I did pyrex once in the egg, everything was fine until I brought it inside, put it on the stove top to cool down & it exploded a couples seconds later, it was an ugly mess, I can't recall the egg temp I was at but I know it was pretty high, I just always thought the pyrex people built indestructable glass, I learned that is not the casehappy in the hut

Incredibly great picture especially for a christmas card. Your kids are going to hate it when they are teens, like it when they are adults, love it as they get older and their children are coming along, and laugh at it like crazy with their children when they are grandparents. That is an irreplaceable and priceless photograph. I would be tickled to death if I could ever take a picture that is even close to that good.
Merry Christmas, -
But I ain't a real greenie, I'm from the deep south  'course that likely doesn't help any
I hear ya on those #24s I about don't even bother with dries that small, unless of course the situation absolutely demands it :ermm: .
The ice oughta be about right by now in some places. -
Well Zip that might just work...if I could get it back in the house before it exploded then I could blame it on her stove or something
-
thanks very much! truth be told, i didn't take one that good. i had to piece it together from a couple pictures that came out fairly decent, and then i tweaked them a bit in photoshop.
just like the fashion magazines! a little extra post-production work never hurt!
thanks again.
i actually got the idea from a family album. lots of christmas cards from the 40s and 50s of kids looking over the banister.
have a great holiday

None of your excuses matter, the photo (and your eye) still deserved great praise (photoshop or not).
Merry Christmas -
hahaha

Merry Christmas to you, tooed egli avea del cul fatto trombetta -Dante -

I really do feel sorry for all of you. I think it was up to 74 or higher here. I put the first coat of Thompson's on the small egg table with the weather so nice. It was cloudy, but none of that stuff y'all face. I think in a couple of days, it is supposed to get down in the forties.
