We have 'accumulated' snow in Spring Texas USA. What a surprise. Actually looks kinda nice out.
Currently 32° and only going to 31° so we probabably won't see much of it by morning.
But it snowed and that's a real treat around here.

Alright, you and judy get out there and make some snow angels and take some pics for us. There's not many things as beautiful as a newly fallen snow! Enjoy the novelty!

Many years ago, I flew into San Antonio the day after they had 9 (!) inches of snow. The place was paralyzed. But it was beautiful. Unfortunately, a lot of cactus plants lost their lives. When I left two days later, it was all gone. Here in New England, once it arrives, it stays!

Its funny. I am in Katy for work and seeing snow is awesome.

Snow is my friend.

What!?
Ok - 300 miles to the North of me they have 2 feet of snow, now all the way down in Texas they've got snow... and we have RAIN!!! 42 degrees & rain.
no fair -
Sure was pretty too. And now it's all gone, the ground is dry, the sky sunny and we're expected to get up near 60° today. Just can't get a better snow than that.
Heck, they didn't even have to close the schools and government offices, or call FEMA.
Enjoy your rain.

Nice treat wasn't it? And now it's gone. Hope my International Workforce can mow today.

Snow Angels!!! I don't think so. It was only about this ( = ) deep and any attempt to lie down on it would instantly create a puddle. Maybe next time. But it was pretty.

I suspect San Antonio was "paralyzed" by choice. They like a good snow over there. I can only imagine how beautiful the RiverWalk would be after a good snow.

You say "Yuk" like you are jealous of our good fortune. Our snow didn't even stick around long enough to get dirty. And since I covered my flowers, we will soon have that springtime look again. Heck, I went out barefooted to get the paper this morning.
The Coop has now passed both the Ike Test and the Snow Test

Awwwwww... You're just saying that because Randy said that. There were more smiles in Houston than any other time this year. If only we could start next year off with a nice snow...

we had just enough snow to give the impression that the ice on the lake was safe, or so the dog thought. left him in just long enough to get that really worried look on his face before scooping him out, poor little bushpig. hope he realizes to stay off it for a little while til it sets up.fukahwee maineyou can lead a fish to water but you can not make him drink it

About 4 inches of snow in McComb, Ms. at 8:30 am. Rained all nite and started snowing about 6:00 a,m. everything covered and a lot still falling.. None in Jackson, Ms. yet.. They are about 75 mi. N. of us.

Maybe he's one of those 'icebreaker dogs.' Or perhaps he was just testing the frozen waters.

I figured the weather would move on your way. That much has gotta be pretty out there among the pine trees. Enjoy it.

I'm working in Lake Charles and woke up to 2-3" of the white stuff this AM. It is always special to see it snow south of I-10. Wife says there's quite a bit in Abita, hopefully it'll stay until I get home.
Mike "Glad it's snowing" in Abita -
The words "Snowing in Abita" has a nice ring to it.
I figured you got some because BabyRay up in McComb said they got 4" and it was still coming down.
Too bad you missed it.

I'm moving back into my house. Want to spend sunny Feburary with me? :woohoo: Got 16 inches of snow in one day last year.
Mike -
16?? Is that all!!
-
That is about max for us. Hey, all I need is a 1/2 inch with the "salty dog" out and I'm happy.
I did have a guy throw a snow shovel at me because I wouldn't push is drive way out. I'd been pushing for close to 24 hours and I don't drink coffee. :woohoo:
