Has anyone ever ordered from this company? D’Artagnan
They seem to be the only place I can find to order a suckling pig. I've contacted countless butchers, pork farmer associations and meat distributors within a 100 miles of Cincinnati and they all tell me the same thing. They can only get me a 30 lb pig.
I want the piglet not only to be only milk-fed but to be fresh too.
Can anyone vouch for the quality of this company?

I've used a number of their products and they have been of the highest quality.
Haven't ordered from them direct. -
I see their products in Wegmans (similar to Whole Foods in quality) all the time if that helps any.

I've never mail ordered anything from D'Artagnan but I would buy their stock if they were public. They use local farmers and thier products are top notch. We bought many of their products at local grocery stores and have always been pleased. I don't think we have ever had any of thier pork products so it will come down to who the local producer is in your area. But for poultry and fowl we've never had a bad experience. Griggstown quail farm is a local producer for D'Artagnan birds and we buy direct from them all the time and have always been happy. -
If order one it will most likely be shipped from one of there warehouses is New Jersey.

D'Artagnan has an impeccable reputation for quality in their duck and foie gras.
I would not hesitate to try another of their products.
Be prepared to pay lavishly.
